Our Services

    • Communication and swallowing support for NDIS participants across Melbourne, Victoria.

    • Goals-based therapy.

    • Functional outcomes.

    • Speech Pathology assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders within the ageing population.

    • Focus on swallowing safety, post-stroke rehabilitation and home/residential sessions.

    • Accessible through Home Care Packages.

  • Comprehensive assessment of communication (including speech, language, fluency, voice, social communication) and/or swallowing disorders.

    Assessment outcome and Speech Pathologist (SP) recommendations are discussed with the participant following the assessment. Ongoing management plan is created in collaboration with the SP, participant and other relevant support members.

  • Ongoing therapeutic intervention tailored to the individual, to support communication and/or swallowing difficulties.

  • Assessment, progress and outcome reports are completed as required by the NDIS/Medicare, or as requested.

  • Assessment and therapy of communication and/or swallowing disorders can be conducted via telehealth.

Who are we?

LB Speech Pathology is independently run by our lead Speech Pathologist, Laura Bricknell (CPSP). We are based in Melbourne and provide mobile and telehealth Speech Pathology services across Victoria.

We are all about empowering individuals, promoting independence and maintaining a rich quality of life; and we understand just how important the function of communication and swallowing is to achieve this.

We provide assessment and management of adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties (as outlined in ‘our services’ page). Our team has many years of experience working across different settings (including within hospital settings and the community), allowing us to provide exceptional, holistic care.

LB Speech Pathology believes that one of life’s true beauties is laughter. For this reason, we aim to have fun with our clients, share a smile or laugh, whilst (of course) maintaining professionalism!
